Sunday Best!

After we got ready for church today, I thought the girls looked extra cute, so I took some pictures. Chloee has a new dress and Brooke is wearing one of Chloee's old ones. I love that I can put the outfits that I loved on Chloee on Brooke. This dress was one of my favorites!!

Fairy Tea Party!!!!

Chloee and I had the opportunity to go to the Fairy Tea at the local city Library on Friday night. We invited Grandma Gae, Emma and her dad and my friend Joni, her little girl Skyler and Joni's mother in law came too. We had so much fun. When we got there we found our table and opened a special present-a cute necklace. Chloee wanted mine and Grandma Gae's so we gave them to her. When it was time to start 2 fairies started to sing and then this pretty white fairy came and was like the host.

After she introduced the program the Fairy King came in with his court.

Then four dancers from the sponsoring ballet company danced individually to music. They were good.

Then they fed us and all the little girls who were there were able to participate in the fairy promenade. Chloee of course chose not to participate, surprise surprise, maybe someday she won't be so shy. After the promenade they let the girls go up and get their picture with the Fairy King and his court and all the dancers and other fairies at the tea. Chloee and I had a good time and would like to thank Tyler for getting the tickets for us, he's the best!! Here are a few more pictures from the night.

Brooke is a "Big Girl"

I wanted to keep Brooke in the crib as long as I could, thinking it would be until she was closer to 3, not 2. So the other day she decided to climb out after I put her in bed for the night. The first time it was cute, after the 3rd, 4th up to the 6th time I was done. Tyler and I thought maybe it is just tonight, but the next day she did it again over and over again. I finally had had it and told Tyler to take the front part of the crib off and turn it into a big girl bed. We figured we were putting her back in the crib so why not make it easier on ourselves and put her in the bed, plus now she won't hurt herself climbing in and out. The first few nights were hard, but she's gotten better. She still gets out of bed so we shut her door and let her play until she is tired. Some nights it takes 2 hours, some nights it takes 30 minutes. She looks so cute, next step is potty training right (not sure we're ready for that yet, maybe in a couple of months after she turns 2).

Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's everyone. This year we had a good Valentine's day. The girls woke up and found that Cupid had been to visit. They got fun balloons and books. Chloee and Brooke definitely love books. For breakfast I attempted to make heart shaped pancakes. I think they turned out pretty good for an amateur, the girls liked them. After breakfast we got ready for church and since the girls looked so cute I decided to take their pictures. I hope everyone had a good Valentine's day filled with lots of love!

Better late than never...

So Christmas has come and gone now and I'm now just barley updating my blog. I'm such a slacker or have just been realy busy, probably the first. Christmas this year was really fun. My mom's family had their usual christmas party, but this year we had an ugly sweater contest. My cousins really got into it. Kirsten had snowman overalls, with a snowman turtleneck and a snowman sweater, to top it off she had jingle bells that jingled when she danced and boy did she dance. She won the prize. My uncle Stan and his family showed up in Utah Utes sweat shirts only to be upstaged by Elliot and his family in all of their Utah sweat shirts. We had a blast. Santa came to visit and bring a pre Christmas gift for all of the kids. Both Chloee and Brooke weren't sure about him.

Christmas Eve we went to Grandpa Grunander's house for a party and to see how he was doing. After his party we went to my aunt Cyndi's for my families traditional Christmas eve party. We had good food and fun thanks to every one. After Cyndi's we went to Grandma Jane's and Papa Tom's house. There we opened white elephants and boy do Chad and Natalie get into that game. We saw white trash hot tubs and briefcases made out of boxers and safety pins. You had to be there for the rest. After the game Grandma had made sugar cookies and hot chocolate. Brooke had more fun feeding uncle Scotty-Do than eating them herself.

Christmas morning was really fun. The girls got everything they asked for thanks to Santa and Mom and Dad. Chloee got a barbie camper with four barbies to play with, a playdo ice cream maker and a polly pocket disney princess castle with all of her favorite princesses. Brooke got a princess powerwheels car that she quickly learned how to drive by watching her big sister, and she got a new baby doll with stroller, high chair and bassenet all to herself. She no longer has to share her sister's. Tyler got exactly what he wanted, his remote control rock crawler and was just like a little kid. He took his toy everywhere and tried out every obstecle he could create on Christmas. Thanks to Tyler I got a bike stand for my bike to exercise on and socks just like I asked for. This year Christmas was really fun and we have been so blessed this past year. We hope this up coming year will be as good as the last.

Frogs and Hippos!

Last week we took the girls to see Disney's "The Princess and the Frog." It was very cute. Chloee loved it. She had been wanting to see the movie ever since the previews came out in the summer. Brooke was not such a good sport. I don't know why I try to try to take her to movies because all she wants to do is eat popcorn and play on the stairs. Tyler ended up taking her home early and my parents brought Chloee and I home.

Last Saturday Chloee had her Christmas dance recital. Now last year she didn't dance on stage, but she did at the Spring concert so I was hopeful she would dance this year. We went to the dress rehearsal in the morning and when it was her turn to go up on stage she wanted me right there with her. I sat down in front on the steps to watch, but that wasn't good enough, the tears started to come. I ended up on stage behind the curtain with a tear stained face Chloee.

When it was time to take her back to the room for the girls to wait, Chloee didn't want to let me go. Finally after much persuation she let me go to my seat. As the show started Tyler's mom asked what I bribed her with this show and I said nothing. When it was her turn to go on stage I headed to the hall to see how she was and her teacher said she was good. I went back to my seat to watch. The girls started filling out on stage and Chloee stood on her "X". The music started and Chloee had a tearified look on her face and she started crying then ran to her teacher in front who was helping the girls dance. Chloee stayed their until the dance was over and then went off stage with the rest of the girls. After the dance she told me she liked the other stage better when she had her fancy dance (the Regan Theatre at UVU). Tyler said it's probably because she can't see the audience on the bigger stage because of all the lights. At least she went out on stage, right! We'll have to see how the spring recital goes this coming year. Wish us luck!

Pictures!!!!

Thanks to my sister in law Tasha for taking the girls pictures. Pictures are always fun, especially with an almost 2 year old. Brooke was not having fun and not cooperating either. She didn't want to smile and wouldn't take her picture with her sister. Chloee on the other hand was quite the little model. She had fun taking pictures in her Christmas dress and loved every minute of it. All in all I think we got some cute shots of the girls.
